Home/Commercial & Fit-Outs

Commercial builds and fit-outs, delivered to programme and budget.

Whether it is new commercial space or a fit-out against a fixed opening date, I manage the programme, the cost and the contractors, so your business gets a finished space without running the project yourself.

Why bring in a project manager

Keep your business running while the build is done properly.

Commercial projects nearly always come with a deadline that matters: a lease start, an opening date, or a business that cannot afford extended downtime. Managing designers, contractors, building control and your own operations at the same time is a full-time job.

I take that on for you. I coordinate the design and construction team, keep the programme and budget under control and make sure the finished space is handed over ready to trade on the date you were promised.

  • New commercial builds, fit-outs and refurbishments
  • Extensions and alterations alongside an operating business
  • One accountable point of contact for you and your landlord

Management system

Delivered under an Integrated Management System.

Robin Croft Project Management is not ISO accredited, but every project is run under an Integrated Management System designed to mirror the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. It gives clients a structured, auditable approach to quality, health and safety, and environmental control.

The system is aligned with BS EN ISO 9001:2015, BS ISO 45001:2018 and BS EN ISO 14001:2015 and is reviewed internally on a regular cycle.

Quality (ISO 9001)

Documented procedures from enquiry and contract review through to document control, with client feedback reviewed.

Health and safety (ISO 45001)

Risk assessments, method statements and site visit reports, with CDM-aware working on every site.

Environmental (ISO 14001)

Environmental aspects assessed and managed, with suppliers and subcontractors encouraged to do the same.

Continual improvement

Internal audits, management reviews, training records and lessons learned captured at project close-out.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Can you work around a business that stays open?

Yes. Phasing, out-of-hours working and clear communication with staff and customers are planned into the programme from the start.

Do you manage the contractors directly?

I manage them on your behalf: tendering, appointing, directing the works and checking progress, quality and cost against the agreed contract.

What if my deadline is fixed?

Then the programme is built backwards from that date, with the critical path and key risks tracked and reported regularly so any threat is raised early.

Are you ISO accredited?

Not currently. My Integrated Management System is designed to mirror the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, so quality, safety and environmental control follow a structured, auditable process.

Where do you work?

Cumbria first, then across the North West, the North East and into the Scottish Borders.
